New Professional Formats

Hello everyone! I am just trying to hear out everyone else's opinions on the new professional formats. I have heard a lot of positive reviews on the new MLF system but what do you think? Some believe the Elite Series will fall behind with less viewership due to scope.

Chris		Welcome gbassin! I could definitely see them falling behind.

If I understand things correctly, the MLF has some scoping periods and some no-scope periods. I think the BASS elites have some limits on tech but they can scope the whole time, and then you have the NPFL which is entirely no-scope. Correct me if I'm wrong.

In that case, I could definitely see people losing interest in the tournaments that are 100% scoping and BASS would be the one to get left behind. But I'm not sure if people prefer the new MLF format or the NPFL type of format. I like MLF for the catch-weigh-release factor alone and I think their format is probably a little more interesting but I'm sure some folks would prefer the NPFL. Both might stand to gain from BASS's loss IMHO.
