My first fishin' hole growing up was the Youghiogheny river in Pennsylvania. The 'Yock'. I snagged a pic off of Google maps for the image only because we didn't take a lot of pictures back then. I figured that for my first blog here it would be fitting to mention the place where I got started. I can remember catching trout, smallmouth, catfish, suckers and carp along that beautiful river until my family moved south when I was 12. That's when largemouth fever began.

In the early years of my life I lived within walking distance of the river and on a bicycle I was there in no-time. I had older brothers and a dad who showed me the ropes and once I learned the basics of how to bait a hook I spent a ton of time down at the river. I loved fishing and the challenge of it all. And maybe even more than that I just loved being by the water, and I think most anglers feel the same. It's special there.

Growing up, a lot of people that enjoyed fishing just as much as I did followed their dreams of becoming pro fishermen but that was never really my dream. Besides the love of fishing I also had a lot of other hobbies and one of those was messing with computers, so once I discovered this whole internet thing I always had an idea to build a good fishing website. So here it is, finally. FishBlogger.com. My pandemic project. It's pretty basic right now but I plan to add new features and improve upon the existing ones as long as I can. I also hope to do a lot of fishing and add some good blogs, and maybe a few bad ones.

Tight lines!
